VenWeave, checked against lasso.io.

LASSO is the category's largest player, and the site a prospect here is most likely to also have open in another tab. Everything below is sourced from their published pages, as found on 9 August 2026 — sites change, and this page includes what they do better, not only what reads differently here.

What a script-free reader actually sees

LASSO

Three counters on their own homepage are JavaScript-painted. Without a script running — a crawler, an AI agent, or a browser with scripts off — this is what is actually sitting in the HTML underneath them:

Headline stat 0 Whatever the number was meant to be

All three homepage counters share the same mechanism. Their 4.6-star Capterra rating, their named case studies and their testimonials are real and are not behind this — this is specifically about the animated numbers at the top of their own homepage.

VenWeave

There is no JavaScript on this page — the Content-Security-Policy blocks it outright, not just discourages it. Nothing here depends on a script running, so there is nothing for a missing one to break:

  • One database, six modules
  • Venue commission modeled
  • Hash-chained audit log
  • Venue, user and org time zones

The checklist

Category vocabulary
LASSOTiered by channel — "software" in meta titles and their FAQ, "platform" on the homepage, "operating system" on the pages built to compare against a named competitor. VenWeave"A vertical ERP for event services" — the same words in the title tag, the hero and every page on this site.
"ERP" and "P&L" in the vocabulary
LASSONeither word appears — consistent with the rest of the category. A sweep of thirteen event-software sites found zero hits for either. VenWeaveBoth, on purpose. That sweep is why — the ground the rest of the category left standing.
Proof that survives JavaScript being off
LASSOThe homepage's headline numbers are JavaScript-painted counters — with scripts off, or to a crawler, they read as zero in the actual HTML. VenWeaveThere is no JavaScript on this page, so nothing depends on it. What is in the HTML is what every reader sees, human or not.
Security or trust page
LASSONone. /security/, /trust/, /compliance/ and /data-security/ all resolve to their generic page template. VenWeavePublished — the actual response headers this site and the application send, quoted live, plus what the application does and does not do, gaps included.
Document structure
LASSO15 H1 elements on their homepage — most of them testimonial attributions rather than section headings. VenWeaveOne H1 per page, everywhere on this site.
Named customers, testimonials, case studies
LASSO13 testimonials at full attribution, named case studies, and logos including the NFL and Coca-Cola's own events team. VenWeaveNone yet. This product has one customer — the operation it runs inside today. That is a real gap, not a stylistic choice, and nothing above the fold here claims otherwise.
Third-party review signal
LASSO4.6 stars across 49 reviews on Capterra and Software Advice — with a recurring complaint that the all-in-one suite does not fully sync internally and forces duplicate entry between its own modules. VenWeaveNo public reviews yet — one customer is not a sample size. The "one database" pitch on this site exists partly because that is the exact complaint LASSO's own reviewers describe.
AI-assistant readability (llms.txt)
LASSOShips one — a structured file naming their own differentiation for language models to read directly, rather than infer. VenWeaveNot built yet.
Migration, export and exit, answered up front
LASSONot addressed in their own FAQ — a gap their own reviewers report running into after they have already bought. VenWeaveAnswered directly on this site: what imports today, what does not yet, and what a full data export actually means right now.
Design system discipline
LASSOThree near-identical amber tones, six or more card corner radii, four different container widths, and headings at five different sizes with no consistent scale between them. VenWeaveOne typeface, one shadow scale, one spacing scale, colors read directly from the product's own design tokens.
Pricing published
LASSONo numbers on the site. Every pricing link routes to a demo request. VenWeaveNo numbers here either — a five-minute conversation instead, and this site says why.
